Empty Pack Survey

Empty Pack Survey provides an objective and statistical estimate in the consumption of tobacco products and the incidence rate of illicit cigarettes in the market. It helps identify the areas within a city or town that are most affected by the black market and the likely origin of the illicit products. 
​The survey includes the collection of empty discarded packs of cigarettes in sampled neighborhoods that include residential, commercial, and industrial areas to have a complete representation of a population. Following the rigorous collection, these empty packs will undergo careful processing and will be recorded and analyzed. ​
